Connecting Essay One

This image is a multiple imagery piece of 9 different pictures. All the photographs are of a models lips but posed in different ways, for example: smiling and then having their mouth open wide. The images used are close up photographs. On the models red lips is a green glittery substance. In between each image there is a space to separate the image from one another. A white background has been used as you can see from the image at the bottom in the centre. The lighting is natural and lights up the model to highlight the glitter. 

This image is my own multiple imagery piece of 9 different photographs. I have taken photographs of lips at different angle & different positions, for example: smiling from the left, smiling from the right & smiling with no teeth. When making my mu;tuple imagery piece I didn't leave spaces in-between each image as I believe it looks better without the spaces. I used red lipstick on the models lips to make the bright blue glitter stick. All of my images were taken with the close up camera so I could get closer images. O used natural lighting to light up the model in order to enhance the glitter on the models lips. 


Overall these two images connect to one another because they both use the same technique of Multiple Imagery. Also they both include pictures of lips in different poses with a glitter substance on the lips. They also connect because the same amount of images have been used within the multiple imagery piece. Finally similar lighting has been used to highlight the lips rather than the background. On the other hand these two pictures differ as in the first image green glitter is used, whereas in my image I used blue glitter. The first image also shows more images of the lips and less of the teeth, whereas my image does the opposite, majority of the images show teeth and only two are just of the lips.
