Why Chosen: I have chosen this photographer because of the vibrant colours, the images catch my attention straight away and are very interesting to look at because it makes me wonder how she captures such quick movement. Corrie White was born in The Netherlands and lives near London, Ontario in Canada. Corrie has a passion to use macro photography to capture unique and fascinating water drops. When editing her photos she turns them at 180 degree angle and enhanced with colour balance. she uses food dye to get the different vibrant colours.
In this image the movement of a water droplet has been captured. Due to the image being a close up you can see the water rings that have been created by the movement in the water. The water seems to red/pink, purple/blue this is due to the background colour reflecting on the water.
This image shows very vibrant colours inside a bubble. The background is black which makes the colours stand out and creates the 3D effect of the bubble. The image has been rotated at 180 degree angle. The colours within the bubble has been reflected on the top of the bubble and creates a number of mixed patterns. Liquid has been used instead of water.
This image shows a water splash that has a variety of different colours bursting out. The background is completely black and the image is reflected at the bottom. As the background is black the colours stand out and the shape of the splash is clearer and sharper.
In this image food dye has been used to drop into water, capturing the movement of it as it flows through the water. The image is rotated at 180 degrees to make the water look like it is rising, coming alive and moving on it's own. There is a contrast between all of the different colours.
Influence: This photographer has influenced me to experiment with the use of vibrant colours in my project as they are very interesting and eye capturing. Therefore within my project I would like to incorporate the use of food colour and/or vibrant colours in my own way.
Summary: Overall this photographer has influenced me to experiment with the use of colour within my work and the use of water droplets. I am still very interested in this photographers work as every picture I look at is different and her images make me question how she captures such quick movements so perfectly.
My Own Work:

This image is also my own photograph that I took due to be inspired by Corrie's work as I loved the idea of the use of food colouring and wanted to include the use of food colouring in my work, my own way. Therefore when researching the use of food colouring I came across food colouring being dropped into wine glasses so I put the two ideas together to get the outcome of this shoot. Both my image and Corrie's images link together as they both show the use of food colouring and vibrant colours.
